I work remote from the Dominican Republic with a company in New York for half the cost of my actually being in New York.
The purpose of this Website is to explain how you can eliminate renting people from offshore companies such as Call Centers or Virtual Assistant Firms and hire people like me to work remote for you from the DR through an HR company for HALF the cost employees at your location.
Basically, this means replacing the idea of renting people from offshore companies with having people like me work directly for you, remote from the DR for half the cost of the mainland USA and do this through a USA/Dominican human resources company.
Another explanation is renting people from offshore companies never turns out to be positive or long term vs. someone like me who can work many years and build a career with you same as if I were a USA career employee, yet for half the cost.
1 - Using me for this example, I am college educated and bilingual English/Spanish. I was recruited and hired by an HR company to work remote from DR for a company in New York. I fit in same as a normal employee without there being any legal employment connection or employee overhead costs.
My cost to work remote from DR is 50% less than if I were employed in the mainland USA.

Zoom or Teams with video call and screen-sharing enable you and I to see each other and talk LIVE almost the same as if I am at a desk next to you.
To be clear, when I say my cost I also mean adding in the HR company for payroll, taxes, computer, internet etc as a total package and compare this total package to the cost of employing just the person in mainland USA.
An example is you can get a person like me + payroll/HR + taxes + computer + internet + local supervisor as a package for 50% less than it would cost just for me to be your employee in the mainland USA.
2 - I have been working remote from DR for a company in New York for several years. The job started as a recruiter trainee then evolved to customer support, account manager and now I am the personal assistant to company CEO where I handle all of their time consuming work.
Important: When you rent people from offshore companies, the idea of renting people kills commitment, loyalty and quality on both sides of this scenario. This is why most American companies that try offshore services cancel when realizing the failures outweigh the benefits of lower cost.
I have been working for the company in Florida a long time and am building a full career. I have been given promotions, raises and career advancement while my cost is half that of an employee in the mainland USA.
This is a good job for me in DR and low cost for the company in USA. We both win and this is where the loyalty, quality and longevity comes from that is impossible with offshore rent-a-worker companies.
People like me in DR are American/Dominicans only 2 hours from Miami. This is not India or the Philippines 🙂 Â
Creating your own nearshore/lower cost staff operation be it 1 person or several is a much smarter and better way to add use of remote & lower cost people to your company business model. Renting people from offshore companies may sound attractive but never turns out positive.
Examples of people you can have working for you from the DR:Â HR and recruiting staff, personal assistant for company leaders - bookkeepers and accountants - customer/sales/technical support - social media management, etc.
Here is another perception. AI is claiming it will create FAKE humans to perform jobs like customer service. Well, if the reason for AI to reduce cost maybe having real humans do the job from a lower cost location makes more sense!
